Course Overview
Translate illustrations into award-winning fashion collections, a fashion designer's career starts with a solid educational background. This course takes the student from design concepts and processes through to final production, while teaching required business and contextual studies. It is an integrated approach, applying creativity with technical proficiency. The fashion industry is fast-paced and this course trains students to be flexible in responding to ever-changing market needs, technological developments and trends.
By the end of two years, students would have created their own mini-collections. The graduates will present these collections as a grand finale at the Graduation Show, where fashion press, fashion buyers and the public will view their talents for the first time.
During the 3rd year, the programme will focus on developing a deeper understanding of fashion design through exploratory and experimental work and projects. Students will start to hone their individual styles and identity through their collections. With a strong foundation in technical proficiency and a good eye for market trends, fashion graduates will be ready to assume professional work in the fashion industry.
